IN THE NEWS

Presbyterian Counseling Center Office Opening At First Presbyterian Church

FPC's  pastoral care ministry is happy to announce an expanded partnerhips with the Presbyterian Counseling Center.

The church has long supported the PCC and its mission "to respond to Christ's call for the Church to participate in ministries of healing, reconciliation and hope."

The opportunity for the church to provide PCC with a center city home comes as Rev. Sidney Batts challenges us to move beyond good to amazing.

Therapist Jack Hileman will staff the office.  Jack has a broad range of experience in counseling individuals, couples and families.  He has a focus in the area of aging issues.

Jack was ordained in the United Methodist Church and has served several churches in Florida and North Carolina.  He holds a master's degree in divinity from  Emory University and a master's of arts degree in counseling with an emphasis on issues in aging from Appalachian State.

Jack is a licensed marriage and family therapist.  He also leads domestic abuse training workshops for clergy and church leaders.  He will be available for appointments 1-to 5 p.m. Mondays.  Appointments must be scheduled through the Presbyterian Counseling Center, 336-288-1484.
