Payment is expected at the time of service. Payment may be made by personal check, cash, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard. Any checks returned due to insufficient funds (NSF) will result in an additional charge of $25.00. The amount of the check, the $25.00 charge and unpaid balance of the account must be paid in cash prior to scheduling the next session.
The Presbyterian Counseling Center accepts most major health insurance plans. You can find out if we are a part of your insurance network when you call our offices. Before your first visit with your therapist, we will contact your insurance company to verify your benefits, identify your co-pay obligation, and any deductible you have left to satisfy.
If the Center is not part of your carrier's network, you may have out-of-network benefits that cover part of the cost of counseling. Occasionally an insurance carrier will make an exception to the out-of-network exclusion because of a desire for faith-based counseling.
We are a Medicare provider. We do not accept Medicaid at this time.
Regardless of insurance, the client is responsible for all deductible amounts, co-payments, and balances that remain unpaid by the insurance company.
Cancellations: Cancellations with your therapist should be made at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel a scheduled appointment. You will be charged for an appointment that has not been canceled with a 24-hour advance notice or if you miss an appointment. Insurance does not pay for missed appointments.
Your First Visit Arrive at least 20 minutes in advance for your first appointment so that you can fill out the required paperwork. When you arrive for counseling, we hope you will find our waiting room to be warm and comfortable.
The goal for the first meeting with your therapist is to connect with you, find a comfort level, and answer whatever questions you may have about the process of counseling. Your counselor will seek to identify the issues or concerns you would like to address in counseling and begin to formulate a plan for treatment with you.
