REV. JACK L. HILEMAN, M.DIV., M.A., LMFT
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
THERAPIST
A licensed marriage and family therapist since 2005, Jack has been a counselor since 1989, and United Methodist pastor/clergy since 1976. First hired as a therapist at PCC in 2005, he has been Executive Director here since 2008.
As therapist, Jack focuses most now on couples and relational therapy, including family therapy involving all ages. Jack operates predominantly experiential orientation, utilizing many other approaches as called for to facilitate positive change and healing for his clients. He brings a spiritual awareness to his counseling for a holistic approach which many clients feel is a well-rounded way to facilitate healing in their lives. Some of his areas of focus include:
· Anxiety-related issues (are commonly treated)
· Issues of grief and loss
· Job and financial transitions
· Depression
As Executive Director, Jack’s responsibilities include:
· Supervising all staff, and along with Medical Director, Dr. Masoud Hejazi
· Facilitating coordination of care between counseling and medical staff.
· Jack oversees the quality of counseling, billing, and customer service for the organization.
· He plans and pursues PCC's responsiveness to community needs, providing referral services, planning workshops, group development, and integrating PCC services into community responses to mental health issues.
· Jack is ultimately responsible for PCC's financial viability and client accessibility to services, ensuring all the while HIPAA compliance, and developing marketing and fund-raising plans.
· Physical plant maintenance, accessibility, and safety is a top priority.
· Jack's job includes coordinating, and executing all board policies and decisions in these, and other matters in concert with the PCC board and its committees.
· Jack is accountable for the integrity of our operations and our mission in the community.
· He builds a collaborative effort among staff, and shepherds this approach through defining appropriate protocols and mutual consultation opportunities for staff, which ensures a visit to PCC is more of a healing experience for our clients.

DR. MASOUD HEJAZI, M.D.
PSYCHIATRIST- MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Hejazi has been the Medical Director at PCC since 1989, and has been a practicing Psychiatrist since 1979. He is an indispensable member of our staff.

Robyn has been with PCC for X years, and is a valuable member of our medical team, with the following qualifications:

CLINICAL STAFF THERAPISTS
DEB CONNERY, RN, M.A., LMFT
THERAPIST
Deb had many counseling experiences as a nurse and therapist in inpatient and outpatient community and private mental health agencies before coming to PCC in 2008, where she completed her NC LMFT licensure requirements. Some of her areas of expertise include:
· Sexual addictions
· Bipolar disorder
· Depression and anxiety disorder
· Personality disorders*
· Substance addictions*
· Dialectical Behavior Therapy
· Diagnosis of co-occurring disorders
· Currently training in hypnotherapy
Deb focuses a lot on relational therapy with a wide range of client needs. She uses her extensive medical and therapy experience to bring an effective, holistic approach to bear for client healing. Whether with adolescent or adult clients, Deb often utilizes a mixture of family and individual-focused treatment modalities together. She is therapist with two groups for group therapy (traditional psychotherapy) with those needing support of personal development and guidance weekly. The Relapse Prevention group meets every other week for those with substance abuse issues.
Deb cites her supportive collaboration with administrative and medical staff for a bolstering of her client's healing. Her philosophy of care is "A compassionate presence of our 'selves' with our clients is the most critical factor leading to [clients’] ability to change".

Claudia is a North Carolina Licensed Social Worker, and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She has been a Psychotherapist with Presbyterian Counseling since 1997. Her focus areas include:

THERAPIST
Kent is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Kent maintains his ordination in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in the validated ministry of Pastoral Counseling. Kent brings both professional and personal experience to his work with individuals, couples, families, churches, and businesses. Kent’s life experience as a step-father has benefited his expertise working with blended families. Kent’s educational background includes:

DR. TODD LEWIS, LPC
THERAPIST
Dr. Lewis is Associate Professor of Counseling and Educational Development at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As his vitae reveals, Dr. Lewis is an accomplished scholar in the area of Substance Abuse Counseling. In conjunction with PCC's Medical Staff, Dr. Lewis currently provides the Substance Abuse Counseling component of PCC's Suboxone Treatment Program for opioid abuse. He also provides general mental health counseling services across a broad spectrum of mental and behavioral concerns. Dr. Lewis has expertise in:
· Administration, scoring, and interpretation of major personality inventoriesand assessments
· Brief symptom oriented assessments

STEPHEN HEBARD, M.S., NCC, LPCA
THERAPIST
Stephen has been at PCC for over four months since graduating from UNCG with his M.S. in Counseling and Educational Development. He studied intensively in clinical diagnosis, Motivational Interviewing, and Substance Abuse counseling. Both in his educational/clinical work, and since joining PCC, Stephen has gained acknowledgement for his skills and collaborative work style with clients and fellow staff. He utilizes multiple approaches, based on the client’s needs, including:
· Cognitive-Behavioral therapy
· Motivational Interviewing
· Gestalt
· Postmodern Counseling therapies
His preference is individual counseling, but he has developed and led groups, and is currently forming a men's therapy group.
Stephen is involved in Substance Abuse Therapy research under direction of Dr. Todd Lewis with the Suboxone program at PCC. Also, he has led the conversion of PCC's paper files into digital form for electronic medical records installation, now on-going. He has developed and will lead presentation of community-directed workshops, along with Cheryl Clark, Nurse Practitioner.

ADMINISTRATIVE / CLERICAL STAFF
PAMELA TUCKER
BUSINESS MANAGER/OFFICE MANAGER
Pam has been with Presbyterian Counseling for over eleven years, and now manages the Center's financial activities, billing, and collections. Her duties include:
Collaborating with both the Executive Director and Treasurer on matters of
· Finances
· Business planning
· Operations
Overseeing the following:
· Accounts receivables
· Insurance certifications
· Billings
· Third-party payer relations
· Coding and electronic collections
· Bookkeeping
· Supervision of all office staff
· Client scheduling processes
· Supportive protocols
Pam also plans with the Executive Director the integration of contracts and financial operations, as well as grant writing and fund-raising. She handles complicated client complaints or issues involving coverage or finances, in coordination with the Executive Director and others.
Pam maintains all licensure and personnel certifications which keep the Center viable, and reviews business opportunities as they arise, for inclusion in an on-going business plan, approved by the Executive Director and board.

JANE SWEET
MEDICAL BILLING/CLAIMS/TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Jane has been with PCC for about ten years, helping us implement and update our billing/scheduling platforms and procedures. Jane is the staff member who:
· Authorizes and enters insurance billings
· Creates claims and sending them EDI
· Facilitates resolution of denied claims.
· Helps clients resolve their insurance and billing issues, usually being the first staff they meet with, and the one who often can be go-between for client and insurance/third-party payer.
· Consults with staff having problems with PCC’s electronic. Her duties in this regard are growing as we are installing electronic medical records systems now.
· Relay system functions, phone systems, copiers, and postage machines are among the hardware she troubleshoots.

CAROL GILBERT
SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
Carol keeps the staff busy and the clients scheduled appropriately by her diligence; phoning clients and managing staff schedules. Her duties include
· Getting new and returning patients in to see the right staff
· Making appointment-reminder phone calls
· Trouble-shooter for clients, often calming and reassuring
· Linking with staff and clinicians as necessary
· Handling all prescription faxing out
· Handling all medical records requests
· Scanning
· Pulling files
· Organizing samples for the medical staff
· Fill-in receptionist as needed
She molds the flow of clients toward the appropriate clinician, and helps collaboration take place between clinicians for clients’ benefit.
KIM WILLIAMS
PAYMENT/CLAIMS SPECIALIST
Kim has worked at PCC for two years resolving payment and insurance claims issues, so that clients may continue receiving services and the Center stays financially viable. She is a problem-solver, facilitating the complex flow of a mental health office's relations with both secondary payers and our clients. Kim is a team player who also helps with:
· Collections
· Deposits
· Reception
· Phone answering
· Scheduling
· She is our recorder for staff meetings.
Her work eases the financial flow of information for staff, clients, and third-party payers.
RENEA SMITH
RECEPTIONIST/RECORDS SPECIALIST
Renea has been with PCC for less than a year, and is very active at our front window greeting clients, scheduling return visits, keeping the billing and record-keeping process accessible and understandable to both clients and staff. Her daily duties include:
· Giving out and receives superbills
· Printing dictation
· Organizing faxes and all other documents in client charts
· Overseeing records filing
· Scanning charts for electronic recording
· Smoothing the processes of payment for clients
· Supervising the prescription pick-up and identification verification processes
· Handling UPS lab pick-ups and deliveries
She is the face of the Center to our clients, and often brings a kind word to tense concerns.
